The Republic of Benin (formerly known as Dahomey) is a Presidential Republic in West Africa. It shares a border with Nigeria, Togo, Burkina Faso and Niger. Benin’s economy is largely informal with informal re-export and transit trade to Nigeria accounting for over 65% of the economy and 90% of the country’s labour.
